Are you a skilful and creative Communications Lead looking for a part time, term time role? We’re looking for a dynamic and skilled wordsmith who can deliver clear, compelling communication to inspire action, drive change and strengthen relationships, as part of our Central Team, to work 10 hours per week , 39 weeks per year.

To prepare the Trust for its next stage of development, we are seeking an exceptional individual who shares our passion for and commitment to education.

The Trust currently consists of six member schools, based across Surrey - in Shepperton, Ashford, Staines-upon-Thames, Addlestone, Walton-on-Thames and Epsom. The post will be based at one of the Trust schools, but you may be expected to travel to other sites as required and there is also the possibility of working from home for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Governance & Data Lead, you will be the day-to-day lead on developing and executing strategic communication plans that enhance our visibility, support our objectives and engage with both internal and external audiences. You’ll work closely with school leadership teams, office staff and Central Team managers to ensure that our messaging is consistent, compelling and impactful.

You’ll be working alongside colleagues who share your passion, are keen to collaborate and will support you to succeed.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Have a background in public relations, social media management, journalism or communications – ideally in schools or other public sector organisations – but we are keen to meet motivated individuals who can also bring additional experience to the team.

• Develop and implement communication strategies to support the Trust’s objectives.

• Ensure consistent and effective communication across all academies.

• Manage the Trust’s social media and online presence.

• Oversee the content of school websites, newsletters, and other communication channels.

• Ensure all communication materials are accurate, professional and aligned with the Trust’s vision.

• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, staff and the wider community.

• Manage media relations and respond to media inquiries.

• Provide training and support to school staff on communication best practices.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
