Walton Oak Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced and ambitious class teacher who would like to progress their career by taking on responsibility for core subject leadership (subject to be confirmed). We are looking for a teacher who has:
- A minimum of 4 years successful teaching experience
- Subject leadership experience and is able to demonstrate a readiness to lead a core subject
- High expectations for all pupils
- A good understanding of the National Curriculum
- Excellent communication, organisation and team work skills
This role has teaching and learning at its core, with the overall responsibility for providing leadership for a core subject (English or Maths) to achieve high quality of teaching, effective use of resources and highest standards of learning and achievement for all our pupils. The successful candidate will be able to model and develop high quality teaching and be able to use assessment effectively to raise standards. The role will include a range of responsibilities linked to school improvement, including the line management, training & development of staff. The post will include a daily teaching commitment in class but there will be dedicated leadership time.

Salary: £33,071 to £50,471 (dependent on experience) Main pay scale to Upper pay scale, plus a TLR 2 payment (£3,391)
